Overnight Stays
If you’re making a cross-country trip and enjoying different places along the way, planning your overnight stops in between destinations is a great way to make the most of every horizon. Here are a few ideas:
- Walmart parking lots: free parking, and you can run in to restock on the essentials. Use the Overnight Parking Finder app to find the Walmart nearest you.
- The RV Parks and Campgrounds app has an in-app user database that helps sort your nearest campground by user ratings, so you can make sure to stay somewhere RVers like you give a thumbs up to.
- Or choose from State Parks or National Parks by state!
Give Yourself Extra Time
You’ll feel better knowing you had plenty of time to stop and see what you wanted in a day’s time rather than feeling rushed. If there are some stops along the way you want to make the most of, give yourself an extra day. Even if you don’t use up every minute you’ve allotted to spend, you’ll at least have a more relaxed drive when you do get back on the road.
