Getting Your RV Ready for Spring

If your camper has been in winter storage, you’ll need to get it ready before you hit the road. Fortunately for you, we’ve created the following guide to help you prepare your rig for the summer. Read on to learn more!

Wash Your RV

The first step in getting your camper ready for the summer is to give it a good wash. While in storage, your rig can accumulate dust and grime. The longer you leave the dirt on, the harder it will be to clean later.

Before you rinse the RV, you should inspect the integrity of the rig. Check the roof for any cracks in the seams or worn-away sealant. You definitely don’t want any water to seep into your rig when you rinse it off.

Air Out Your RV

Before you hit the road this summer, you’ll want to air out your camper to get rid of the stale air inside. Open all of the doors, windows, cabinets, slide-outs, and awnings. This will help to get fresh air flowing throughout the unit.

While you’re opening everything up, listen for any squeaky hinges. Addressing these issues now will make your first trip of the summer go so much smoother!

Test the Appliances

You don’t want to be in the middle of a fun vacation, only to find out that your appliances aren’t working! Test out the appliances before you hit the road.
