A Beginner’s Guide to Class B Motorhomes

Class B motorhomes may be the smallest options, but they still come with plenty of perks! Read on to learn more.

The Size

Motorhomes are broken up into three categories. The category of Class B motorhomes is the smallest of them all.

While some campers come with slide-outs, Class B motorhomes usually do not. Certain models, however, can come with slide-outs that allow the RV to expand in size once at the campground.

The Design

At first glance, a Class B motorhome can appear to be a van. These RVs are built with a van-style chassis and are often nicknamed “camper vans”.

The Fuel Economy

Thanks to their lightweight design, Class B motorhomes have the best fuel economy among motorhomes. Enjoy spending less money on your vacations, which can allow you to take more of them!

The Passenger Capacity

Most Class B motorhomes will only be able to fit two or three travelers. Their small size results in a smaller passenger capacity.

The Driving Experience

It can be much easier to learn to drive a Class B motorhome than the other motorhome options.

It can also be much easier to get around, whether you are looking for a parking spot in a busy area or traveling down a winding road.
